I know.. Doesn't make sense? He seemed to like the HDTV.. I just started working there last week, & don't know the full details of how BB handles price matching.. can someone just explain to me how the HD cables work....is it something you buy? I have an HDtv but have no idea how to set it up with my PS2 ...or does it not even work for PS2?

I am pretty sure you have to have one of the newer slim PS2's to have an HD signal, and I think Gran Turismo 4 is the only game that is in HD (1080i).

For xbox, you can do one of 2 things:

-buy the HD Pack, and use any component cables
-buy a set of Monster xbox component cables, and bypass the need for the HD pack altogether.

They make component cable hookups for PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube.

MS now makes a standard cable that replaced the HDpack for their HD output. Unless you want to spend the xtra money the MS one works fine.

ok....so i have the slim ps2, now should it just work as a I plug the system into the HDtv, or do I need to go buy a certain type of cable like they do for xbox?

You still have to have the component cables for the PS2. Compostie(Red, yellow, white)cant carry the HD signal.

I purchased a 60 inch Hitachi HD TV last month for the X-BOX 360!The X-BOX looks great on 480p and I can't imagine what the next gen will be like.

We've got a 36 inch Samsung Flatscreen HDTV in my parent's bedroom and I hate it. Its so effing heavy and was a pain in the *** getting into the house. Our 50" Sony WS HDTV in the den is acutally lighter than the Samsung. I'll never buy a Samsung.
