I wonder... Are there custom playbooks this year?

It'd be a nice addition, because your personnel changes, and thus your offensive philosophy might change too.

Yes, I know you can simply change playbooks, but the way they have it set up is a bit of a pain.

I haven't read about them anywhere. Does anyone know?

If you mean custom as in you can toss in a bunch of offensive (not defensive) plays from the standard playbook list, yeah, I'm sure its there. It was last year at least.

There is no play editor however. And if I remember correctly, the total number of offensive plays you can put in your playbook is somewhat limited from what many would like.

They let you pick a playbook and then switch out formations. You can have up to nine formations minus goal line and special.

I did not play last year's version (skipped it for ESPN NFL 2K5), so I was not even aware that you make your own playbook...
