Playaction Rendered Worthless?

It seems to me that playaction passes have been rendered useless in this year's version. Because of the souped up pass rush, there seems to be about a 70% chance of being sacked before play fake animation is even finished. The animation does not seem to have any real effect on oncoming blitzers or D-Linemen. This, to me, makes playaction completely senseless. This is especially true for the computer, which gets sacked nearly every time they attempt a playaction pass.

Is anybody else having or had this trouble? Has anybody found away around it? Thanks.

I have only played a couple of games on the default settings. But, I am having less trouble with this than I did last year.

I normally go with the "Ask Corso" play every time to make it more fair and to avoid guilt over calling money plays. Last year I couldn't do that because any play action would result in a sack.

On offense, with some playaction plays you can use an audible to get the TE or RB to stay in and block the DE coming off of the weakside. On the PS2 the audible is triangle, the button corresponding to the player you want to stay in and block, and then, L2 or R2 depending on which way you want him to block.

turn up the pass blocking. I had to do this to the cpu after playing and my backside DE had 4 sacks, all on PA.

yeah, I pretty much only PA if its a rollout or out of shotgun because of that.

PA works fine for me, its a very big part of my game
