Widescreen Slowdown

Is anyone else experiencing this on the 16:9 screen? I have yet to try it on 4:3, I wanted to get some feedback before doing this. Thanks in advance

I experience slowdown in 4:3.

I notice it when there is a lot of chaos going on on the field i.e. during an interception return.

Nothing that really affects my enjoyment of the game though.

BTW, I'm playing on PS2.

Re: Widescreen Slowdown

sportsguy, i too get slowdown on widescreen. i played the game last night on a standard 28 inch tv and its like night and day. EA just cannot program their ncaa titles for widescreen hi def. play practice in widescreen mode and you'll get no slowdown, that's the way it was meant to be played. another year where EA gets the upper hand. I just cannot believe all the people that said that their was not any slowdown even in widescreen. why would our peers misinform us. if you're one of those that said their was not any slowdown in widescreen, play the game in an exhibition in the rain at a large stadium then practice mode with the same settings and then tell me their is not significant slowdown.

Well at least there are others among us. I am playing on the PS2 and will now try it out on 4:3 and hopefully this will work. Thanks for the input

Re: Widescreen Slowdown

I have a 52" hdtv and a ps2. Take the GAME setting off of 16:9 and set it to 4:3 standard this does help.

Re: Widescreen Slowdown

The game does drop a few FPS on plays where there are a bunch of people around the ball, but I play on widescreen and the instances are few and far between.
