Anybody block a Field Goal, XP, or Punt yet?

You are absolutely right. College Football is loaded with big S/T plays. They really did a great job on the return game this year but my god I wish they would add some blocked FG's! And while they're at it, the occaisional bad snap/hold!

nope and i played V-Tech last night and beat them but they didn't even come close to blocking anything...

I've blocked the occasional punt...but not in this version yet. S/T has gotten better...against an over-matched opponent I returned 2 punts for TD's.

Here's an idea:

In real life, most field goals get blocked b/c the kicker doesn't get enough air under the ball so it's easier to block. Instead of letting the user choose how much air to put under the ball, let there be another kick meter for how much arch you want to put on the ball.

I was just playing my guy yesterday in Madden 05 and he has officially mastered the art of blocking FGs and XPs. I've always been able to block punts but FGs and XPs are a diffrent story.

In NCAA 06, I have deemed that game unworthy of blocking XPs or FGs. After snap, it moves entirely too fast. You barely get a chance to move your guy. Good thing that FG sliders combined with a weak kicker means the chance to miss a XP every so often.

Has anyone who hasn't touched the sliders seen the CPU miss a FG or XP yet? I haven't touched those, and they split the uprights every time against me.

On default they split the uprights with regularity. Adjust them a little and the cpu comes close to missing tons of FGs as well as missing a few XPs when the wind is a factor.
