Strange Recruiting Happenings

So, I'm in the off-season recruiting, year 1 of my dynasty. I was targeting about 17 guys total. When all was said and done, I had 25 recruits on my roster. After every week, I'd look at the "current targets" menu, and there would be a bunch of doods on there that I had never recruited. I had 8 guys commit to me (25 total), that I never manually offerred a scholarship to.

Anyone have any ideas why the cpu is adding guys to my recruiting targets and offering them scholarships?

Did you turn off the CPU recruit assistance?

that's nothing. I had CPU assistance off and everything. At the end of my new FSU dynasty (took the job after my FIU dynasty) i had gotten a total of 2 QBs when I had only recruited one. As a matter of fact when I reviewed my signings the QB which I had targeted was the only one listed. But when it came to cutting players a mysterious freshman QB appeared with an OVR of 82. I was like wtf

Probably from in-season recruiting, you just didn't notice him, because you didn't recruit in-season with FSU.

Sometimes higher ranked recruits won't sign with anyone and they will end up on your roster because they were interested in you. That's probably what happened here.

lol. Many walkons for the top schools can be rated that HIGH.

My lowly UNM lobos gets 55 rated walk ons lol

The CPU adds walk ons for any position that doesn't have the minimum number. So, if you have 1 QB and only sign 1 QB you will be given a walkon QB to bring the number up to 3.
