Anyone getting my problem with way over-inflated human OL pancakes?

I seemed to notice playmaker mentioning things in his slider thread about problems with the CPU having inflated pancakes, but I'm getting the opposite. This happened when I first got the game and was running default AA with no sliders, and I'm still having the issue. I'm playing on AA with some slider adjustments now, including noticeably lowering human run/pass blocking (to make my Oline weaker, obviously),

Some games, though rare, my top guys get only 3-5 pancakes in a game. This happened just recently when I played OU (I'm using A&M). But more often than not, at least 2-3 guys get over 10 per game, which is very unrealistic.

With the sliders I'm on, I'm getting good games where I can compete but often lose against the top teams, play even with teams comparable to me, and usually easily handle the lesser teams, so I'm hoping a fix won't have to involve moving sliders anymore. In fact, I wouldn't even be bothered by this issue since as long as the games play well and rest of the stats seem good, who cares about OL pancakes, right?!

Wrong!!

Reason why I'm searching for a fix is for 2 reasons.

1) At the end of a season, usually my entire starting Oline holds 5 of the top 7-10 spots in the "best OL award". In fact, in one season on default AA settings, all 5 held the top 5 spots, literally blowing out the rest of the guys by at least 30-40 pancakes in total. This one I can stand, as I'm not really concerned whether or not an offensive linemen award is accurate or not.

2) This is the real problem. At the END of a season, I'm finding out that because of these inflated pancake totals, at least 3-4 of my linemen decide to leave for the NFL. This happens to my Jrs and even Sophomore linemen. They seem to be easier to convince to stay in school, but I don't want to have to use up all my recruiting points every single year trying to convince 3 OL guys not to leave early lol

Anyone having similar problems? Not sure I've seen it mentioned, but haven't looked over the threads in entirety.

Yea, I've seen this in my dynasty and my brother's dynasty also. In my first year with Nebraska, my entire starting O-Line were the top five guys for O-Lineman of the year. Pretty crazy, but most of them didnt leave, I had one leave and one that I talked into coming back.

Yeah I've had the same thing, though I've only completed one season. Two of my starters were seniors, and others wanted to leave. I only have 1 returning starter from last year.

The pancake numbers aren't impossible to reach, just unrealistic for everyone on the same team to be getting. Orlando Pace (if I recall) had over 100 pancakes each of his last 2 seasons at Ohio State. It's just that the rest of his O-Line wasn't up there as well.

Re: Anyone getting my problem with way over-inflated human OL pancakes?

I have noticed that it's a lot better now that I have lowered the run blocking slider. I think right now I have 3 of the top 10 lineman or something like that. In my first year of dynasty, I had all top 5 on my team. I didn't get burned too bad with departures, 1 left and one stayed. It does suck though, because an 80 rated guy probably won't even end up on the draft list. I wish guys would declare more based on their abilities than their stats.

i dont think there is a way to know if the number of pancakes are realistic or not. pancakes isnt a stat that i tracked so we have no basis for comparison.

What's the average number of pancakes for an entire season of a cpu controlled player?

Re: Anyone getting my problem with way over-inflated human OL pancakes?

I just finished year 2 of my Michigan dynasty. I usually sub in my 2nd team O and D for either the entire 2nd half or at least the 4th quarter.

Not only did my entire starting O line earn 1st team AA honors, but my entire 2nd team O line earned 2nd team AA honors. My starting right tackle had over 100 pancakes while giving up 5 sacks.

I play on AA level with run blocking toned down to 2. I think there's really no way to avoid this.

Play on Heisman, it's just the opposite. CPU kills you on the pancakes and you get very few. There is no happy medium.
