It is going to be really really hard not to.

My toughness will be tested to see if I can hold out for a PS3 come this July.

I would really take a wait and see attitude if NCAA is your prime reason. I think 2K did the right thing. I would rather see the gameplay and all features preserved with improved graphics for a first game and then change from there. Eliminating alot of features in Madden angered many people. If they get rid of a lot of the things like in-season recruiting, customized schedules, etc., you may not be happy.

I'm waiting until 2nd or 3rd generation games before I make the plunge myself.

Is that based on any inside info over the development of the game or just your own opinion?

History says that it's usually 2-3 years after new next-gen comes out is probably why, it's why I said it anyways.

We know it's not a port because Madden wasn't a port. NCAA 360 will be using the new engine developed for the 360 and has been in development since last year (so it'll have over the standard year of development time). Now whether that means longtime fans of the game will like it this year is still unknown because 1st year games on all new systems tend to look prettier, have alot less features and bugs galore but I guess we'll see..

That won't happen: this year they have the normal amount of dev time for the game. Last year they had very little time to develop Madden for 360. They'll be able to get more done.

Re: For those of us that do not own 360

My original plan was to buy a 360/PS3 when MLB 2k7 came out.

I want to see what PS3 has to offer before I make a decision, so I should only have to go one year without the nex-gen football titles.
