Maybe I lack confidence, but I generally like to take on a C team first. I like to get the feel for my guys and get some decent stats going on that first game.

I often pick BYU in Provo since their defense sucks and their running game is light. I can concentrate on trying out plays and defenses and still have a good chance at winning by 10-17 points.

The next game I ratchet things up. This year since I'll be CAL, I noticed they play Tennesee in Knoxville for game 1. Yikes.

My bro and I always play Clemson (me) @ UVA (him) when we first get the game. I don't quite know how I ended up with Clemson (seeing as I'm a UVA student and all...), but it always is and will be fun.
