Its been 2 yrs? I remember the 360 coming out in Nov.05. EA didnt get the Dev kits until July 05. So EA has had less then a year to work on this game.

^ i was referring to nfl2k5. some were comparing it to this. i was just saying that its been two years since that release, and many are comparing its similar likeliness to the older 2k5 game. i guess i meant to say current gen platform. lol, that was a bit confusing

Oh I don't take offense...but my point isn't really about the towels... My point is that I have a $400 system that CAN produce some nice next gen effects but the companies (EA and whoever else) STILL are giving us what we've seen ALREADY for many years now. I just want the companies to UTILIZE the POWER of the machines...I want them to blow our expectations out of the water. And, apparently, according to most postees here at OS, the companies are failing to do this big time.

Yeah EA really does need to start adding the small things. I can see the point that it's not needed to enjoy the game but it's also silly that they are striving (or saying hey are) for realism but yet they can't get towels in the game and hair lengths accurate? I mean if you wanna go for sharp graphics (as EA claims they are doing) and be a realism whore about the sun, the stripes on the field, shadows and etc then why aren't these basic "small things" also being rammed into the game and pimped hard to the masses? It seems like such small things that they could brag about they almost have EA marketing written all over em....

Have you played MLB06:The Show? Even with it's solid gameplay, the little things in that game are what REALLY put it over the top.

If NCAA could follow suit, then the masses would really see the effort put into the game.

It's obvious we're not getting gang-tackling and other things that have been asked for for years... but man, at least throw in some small minor details that'll have you so "immersed" you'd be able to overlook it.

ESPECIALLY on the 360... it's all about attention to detail. It seems as if they're doing it on the stadiums... the player models to SOME extent...

Just remember everyone... it's ONLY a trailer too....

Actually, the majority feels like me..You know how many Sites I been to, with threads like, When will I see a real next gen game, or why don't Next gen graphics look that good.. I blame MS & EA..They hyped the 360 to be somthing it's not..It's very powerful, but not powerful enough to look like the CG crap EA fed us..& claimed the real game will look much better... So far, next gen is all about te visuals..No next gen AI, or Next gen features & game play..What I mean is..Features & game play that was impossible to do on last gen consoles..AI too..

uh slam EA all you want but to say the 360 is not powerful enough and MS should be blamed for what you perceive as the next-gen football games not being next-gen enough...well what a crock of crapola that is man. Evidently you haven't seen some of the other 360 games if you really think that.

The blame (or credit dep. upon your perspective) for the looks of the upcoming football games rests squarely on EA's shoulders, mainly IMO for that trailer they released last year for Madden and also, to a lesser extent that Vick to Owens commercial for Nike or Gatorade or whatever that I think alot of people seemed to think was a Madden next-gen promo. but to start b1tch slapping the 360 and MS is ridiculious and you should know better.
