Xbox version for me unless the 360 impressions are really good.Gameplay, gameplay always comes first for me.What good are the graphics to me if the gameplay sucks.

I'll wait for a price drop on the system. EA is and always been slow out of the gates on a new system. I agree with most that say 08 should be amazing.

Madden 360 gameplay didn't suck IMO, it was all the things missing that made the game unplayable. Well not unplayable but it was just like a demo. Maybe this year we'll get a full game.

Re: Sticking with the current gen version?

I'm sticking with the PS2 version at least this year. I'd like to see if the potential for the PS3 version is fully realized before I drop the $500 bones on the system and game. If the upgrades are somewhat minimal, or it has the problems I've read about for Madden 06 on the 360......I'll wait it out.

Re: Sticking with the current gen version?

im undecided on which version im getting. if the 360 versions are a half a$$ed barebones version of all the ea games so far, then im sticking with xbox.

that's not entirely true. i re-purchased madden on the 360 out of separation anxiety from watching the draft over the weekend. i downloaded the demo, played for a while then asked myself - why did i trade this in? i played a game online, then it hit me. the gameplay does suck . you can't be manual at all in that game. if you try to play defense balls that you could easily knock down just fly over your head. if you're trying to run for a catch, it's nearly impossible to do holding the turbo. not to mention when you drop back to pass, you pump fake even if you don't want to. the game itself is ok, but those things right there have killed my 06 experience, unfortunately. i'll probably be trading it in for the second time after this week.

Re: Sticking with the current gen version?

I'm waiting until E3 to make my decision. If the 360 version looks bad, I won't be purchasing a 360 yet.

I am the same way. I am not spending $400 for new graphics. I buy this year for current gen and just wait til' later to buy the 360 or PS3.
