Re: New CFBWishlist Article! (More Feature focus)

i think it says that people like to take the easy way out..

that said, there's no way you force it on people--make it an option..OFFLINE you can play any brand of football you want, play on varsity level and beat the computer 56-0 every game if you like..

Online however, the too-potent passing game needs toning down, and the passing cone is the perfect way to do this until there's a better option...

What are you talking about? You must not have watched the Madden Bowl Championships since the Pros are like pretty much the biggest cheesers around.

That extra second could end up being the difference between a completion and a sack.
I think you're kind of missing the whole point of the cone then. The whole point is to make reads like a real NFL QB which of course take a little longer. A real NFL QB doesn't have the birds eye view higher up camera like we as gamers have.

No kiddin'. Some of the pros not using it doesn't mean squat. If a lot of them were saying they didn't think it was realistic then I'd like to hear their take on why they think that.

That's true, but I don't like how the cone works, from a gameplay perspective. Without it, I still need to read the defense, pick the right receiver, and make the throw. The cone just adds extra button presses to the sequence, which may trip the user up. Instead of the cone, I'd rather EA expand the throw ratings (short acc, medium acc, long acc, etc.) to really separate the top-level quarterbacks from the rest. We should see more over-, under-, and offline throws for the lower rated quarterbacks.

What I'm talking about is if the Pro's don't feel it's realistic maybe EA should look at taking it out.

But then it'd be putting the QB play more on a rating as opposed to the skill of the user playing. I can see where some people may have that viewpoint though.

I can use the light fine, I just don't like the idea that's all, in my opinion they could use the space to do something better like fix the kick off and punt returns.
