Haven't heard anything on that yet. I'm guessing/hoping EA heard enough complaints about it to tweak the passing game. The only thing I've heard so far is that the WR's run better routes and they will actually make sure they're past the first down marker when you need it.

Dropped passes were already fixed in 06 (for PS2). I hope the deep ball is caught less this year though.

yeah I agree with ODogg, the drop ball issue was not a problem last year. The biggest problem with '06 was the deep passes always being caught. So, hopefully they did address this. I would imagine they have.

That's not what killed the passing game: it was the linebackers' range and quickness and the auto-pass, and the receivers running routes not timed with your dropbacks or with eachother (they'd always run into eachother)... plus the ridiculous amount of PI.

I don't know, being able to throw a deep ball and have it almost be a guaranteed catch, really takes the realism out of the game. As for linebackers quickness and range, I didn't find this to be a problem, and the receivers running routes, wasn't as big a problem as the deep ball.

On Xbox the drop problem is still there and has been since 2004

Drop issues are fixed by disabling HFA.
