Will this game have touch passing?

I agree. 4 directional passing is still not "precision passing" or even close to max passing, but after playing through a season of Madden with a couple friends who turn off the passing cone, I'll take anything at this point that allows me to put some touch on the passes.

I can't handle the simple lob/bullet passing anymore without directional placement.

I can think of two, make it where you can complete 5 yard out patterns without having to A) Jack up the Catching Slider, B) Turn HFA Off

How would you do that and still make it where great defensive backs can jump out routes and pick off the pass?

Like I've stated many times...

Some variation of either (or a combo of each) Fevers Read and Lead passing and/or John Elway QB (Arcade game)

You could use the right stick as the throw stick used in Elway.

The system of hitting such and such to throw to such and such is tired.

basicall I want to throw to a spot on the field regardless of where the WR/RB is. Then it's up to me to have good accuracy.

Well I can complete a 5 yard out now if it's not picked off by the DB AI (which IMO is a little too good on those outs, mainly because in the past the out was abused so EA overinflated the DB's ability to recognize it). As for HFA, not sure how turning it off would improve passing but it appears it's going the way of the dodo already so that's a non-issue.

I agree they need to add that in. Actually NCAA on the PSX had a mode where you clicked a button and had a big circle with an X in it, you could move that around the field and then press a button and the nearest receiver would try to catch it. It was great but hard. It was in around 98 or 99 I beleive.

I will say that stuff like this will have to remain optional because while I agree with you that this is a needed addtion I also know alot of people, including myself at times, would prefer to just play the regular game without having to use this feature. But it would be great if it was at least an option.
