The xbox version looks and plays the same to me. Now the 360 version plays well as well and looks a million times better.

I care for gameplay and graphics.. I could care less about having espn the magazine covers and all that non-sense.. I want a dynasty mode where i play my games and try and win the championship and then i can recruit players and build like that.

And the next gen ncaa has that and the great graphics and tight gameplay from what i see on the videos...

Looking at the xbox version is like looking at a genesis game... To me its no match...
Looks and plays the same? I wouldnt be able to know something like that until I myself played both versions, but thats just me.

The only reason I can see why people may be choosing the current gen is it's a bit more safe because you know what you're getting. As for the 360 NCAA I'm sure the reason alot of apprehension is there is because of the big dog turd ea took and put it in a box and called it madden 2006 for the 360.

The current gen will be more polished and not have the bugs the 360 version will have.

You are going to be looking a game that won't be as advanced in graphics, but will have good enough graphics to get by with realism, but you will get a polish game with game play and solid worked on features.

The first run for games on new consoles tend to lack anyway.

Plus, I think we're forgetting the big reason why a lot of gamers, myself included, are staying PS2/Xbox this time: It's $310-$410 cheaper.

that quote might make sense if the 360 couldn't play anymore games than just NCAA but since it can, it doesn't.

This isn't the first run, madden 360 06 was the first run for this football engine. i know what you're saying but the point your making here is not as applicable, especially since the 360 NCAA has been in development over a year and a half. and all the previews have said this is not all stripped down like madden 360 06 was and does not suffer from the same "this game is a tech demo" syndrome.

It makes plenty sense to me. Regardless of how many games it can play, I'm generally not overly excited with the prospects of spending $400 on anything, especially a video game system.

then stick with the current gen that's fine, but don't try to imply that people are not going to buy the 360 version because they don't want to pay $410 for it. the game costs $59.99, yes the console is required to play it but the console plays more than the one game. that's like saying you want to watch deadwood on HBO in HD but you don't think it's worth spending $1000 to watch deadwood in HD, an HD set plays more than just deadwood.

one game or movie may convince someone to upgrade but the money spent is an investment in the technology not any one specific game or tv show.
