Official PSP Impressions thread***

WHOA!

Another problem...I just picked up NCAA 07 for the XBOX 360 and PSP at lunch today. Popped in the PSP version and lo-and-behold GT's roster is from LAST YEAR!

PJ Daniels is in the NFL now!!! Reggie Ball is a SR, not a JR. Calvin is a JR, not a SO. Gerris Wilkinson is in the NFL now!!!

It is the ENTIRE roster from last year. Very disappointing...

Hopefuly the roster gurus can correct this obvious mistake.

Picked up this game on store credit but a bug like that (incorrect yardage) is too big for me to overlook and esp. if it happens more than not...guess I'll return it and get my store credit put back on. I'm wondering how I can score one (ncaa fb 07 psp) for less then 30 bucks so I can flip it at Ebgames/Gamestop and get 30 towards Madden. NCAA only cost me 30 (ps2) and 40 (frys electronic).....unfortunately they didn't knock off 20 on the psp version.

I have seen the yardage bug as well.

If you can overlook it (that's a big if) then you will find a VERY enjoyable football game on the go. I'm completely enjoying this title, aside from the punt returns on defense... the camera zooms in on the punt returner so much you can't really tell who you're controlling.

All in all, the game looks better than Madden from last year, plays better, runs smoother... if you're looking for a football game on the go, this is worth it. Again, just make sure you can overlook that bug....

Hey man, long time no see

Its not really a bug per se, according to EA... I still have a ton of fun with the game, best handheld football game to date.


Here is the official EA statement-

Question:

Why is my yardage incorrect when I run the ball?

Answer:

During running plays the ball will be spotted at point of first contact where the tackle is initiated. The ball will not be spotted where the player is ultimately taken down.

So it appears that EA knows there is an issue, and is simply going to let it go.

I wish EA sports games had as much presentation as that video... very well done...

Did they even test out this game?

What happened if it's in the game it's in the game, if they are going to make that statement that runner is down at first contact... this aint two hand touch... Come on EA. Exclusive rights... I'm telling you it's killing my hobby. DAMNIT.
