Anyone usually buy NCAA to tide them over until Madden comes out???

I usually play NCAA straight through the fall. I haven't played Madden since whatever year Faulk was on the cover.

I'll usually p/u Madden on release day, give it about an hour or two of gameplay then that puppy collects dust til around the time the real NFL playoffs start.

NCAA gets played year round for me. I used to love Madden, and I don't know exactly what it is, but that game has just lost that certain something about it that used to lure me to it year in and year out.

I can never play NFL games because of the wacky player progression. In NCAA it's fine because the player only goes through 4 off seasons max.

However, in Madden after 3-4 years all of my players were in the 90s, and it was just way too easy. In ESPN it's just random as hell. My WRs started declining after 3-4 years, even though they were all in their 20s and having 1,000 yard seasons.

I like the college one because you get new players every year so your team dynamic can change, but you don't have to deal with all the contracts and free agency stuff that comes with a pro game.

Yea I love getting to use completely different players year after year, and finding the next gem. Your team is never the same.
