Is it safe to say that NCAA 2007 is better than NCAA 2004?

The 2004 version was considered the best football game made by EA. Does the 2007 version knock it off its throne?

Noooooo. It's only been one day. It's a lot of fun so far, but NCAA 2004 was a game that I played all year, and that caused Madden to collect dust on my shelf. I can't put it above that game yet.

2006 was better than 2004 IMO.

I'm not sure why 2004 is being labled the best game ever. There was no defense in that game. Sure the offense played great but there are two sides to the ball.

2006 was WAY better than 2004. 2004 still had the speed cheat on heisman, an even easier to complete deep ball (the deep was even easier to complete than throwing a pass over the middle), and a computer that sucked on offense. Also the human run game was all about doing HB tackle runs and shotgun HB draws, since there was no point trying to run up the middle into all the suction blocking. I dont know why so many people still regard that game sooo highly. It was good back in 2004, but it became very outdated about a year ago.

2007 on the Ps2 is a far better game... I don't know if you were talking about the 360 version or not but I have both and I like the ps2 version a lot. Had the 360 version not been around 07 would have taken the cake.
