Re: IGN Review up

The only thing not there is the damn trophies for the game, which in reality means about as much as...well...nothing.

Outside that...it's the same.

No, like 'The Soldier' said in the other topic. Dynasty has no soul. It is NOT the same. You can keep saying that, but 360's dynasty is NOT the same. If it were, I wouldn't be complaining. Hell if they took 06's dynasty straight out of last year's and put them here, I wouldn't be complaining much.

I repeat. 360's dynasty is NOT the same as the current gen.

Well I brought up the point about NBA2k6 and College Hoops 2k6 because I enjoy both of those games quite a bit. I ended up trading the NBA one in because I found myself playing the college game all the time and it was just sitting there. I had no real problem with the route they took, but I did read on several forums how people say no reason to get them because they saw them as nothing more than the current gen with beefed up graphics. So many saw it as not worth an extra 10 bucks. I still have my Xbox, but I got a 360 to play next gen games and I have been very happy with it. What EA did with Madden 360 was pretty bad. I didn't think it played a horrible game of football the way some felt as I had fun playing football games on it, but it was and is horribly shallow. Much more than NCAA is. I am a dynasty only player, but I want great gameplay as well. From reading impressions of the current gen game it doesn't sound like it is much different than the 06 version in the gameplay department. I enjoyed 06 for Xbox, but I don't want to go back to that version even if the 360 dynasty is lacking compared to it.

I am not trying to change anyones mind here. I see everyones point about the dynasty in the 360. It is just to me at least this gameplay is head and shoulders about what I found the 06 version on Xbox to be. That much better to make the lack of depth to the dynasty more than exceptable.

If nothing else even those that want to go back to current gen because of the dynasty mode have to agree this is a great foundation for the next gen NCAA games I would think. And to me I am glad that great gameplay was what they used for the foundation because a game with thebest dynasty mode ever wouldn't be enough to make up for horrible gameplay.

See, you make good points. You mentioned 360's lackluster Dynasty mode. To those that are thinking it, I am not bashing the game, just that its Dynasty mode...well...just isn't enough for me.

It does give hope next year, hopefully they will improve dynasty mode significantly and still have the same gameply. It is heading in a right direction, but next years game has nothing to do with this years game. Maybe if I was paying 60 bucks for Ncaa 07 and 08 then I would say 'Yay it is moving the right direction.'

But Dynasty mode is unfulfilling and the games feel like exhibition games, every one I have played so far.

I win the game, back out, and nothing is there but menu's and screens.

I miss the Mag so much. I mean it builds up things. I remember watching teams rise and fall through the mags, I remember seeing things like "7-0 Gators!" and then to see them go against their Rival in a tough match-up builds up their game and I don't even play as Florida. So then I might watch the game just because I am interested in the build-up.

Dynasty mode just feels like exhibition games, that is my point.

I can see where you're coming from because I loved the SI covers too -- but in the same vein, having picture like stadiums, realistic looking players, isn't better than having just a Sports Illustrated cover every week? I would much rather my games feel like actual games than having my dynasty feel like an actual dynasty for now, but perhaps that's just me. I would suggest a text based sim if you're into the more dynasty parts of a game like FOF, etc. if that's what really drives you, until NCAA incorperates all of these things.

Nah, I like to play the games and control the players. But I have said this months before, NCAA it being its first year, I didn't expect much, so I am going to let it slide this year (as if I had a choice, the only colleg fball game out there lol.) but Madden 07 has no excuses this year. Franchise mode better be there in all of it's glory.

But I don't see how hard it owuld be for EA to add something like the Mag to organize all of the stats and present them in a orderly manner. Because Dynasty mode is just sloppy for the 360, sloppy and every game feels meaningless to me.

Re: IGN Review up

I think the review is fine. He's saying exactly what everyone else is. Great gameplay, but the fact that I'm playing IAA South instead of the University of Delaware in a generic "delaware" stadium is ridiculous for a (not so) next gen game. And I don't want to hear about "space" or "taking some of that out for pretty graphics" bevause Oblivion has better graphics and is about 50 times bigger than this game. It's fun, but c'mon how is 7 out of 10 wrong? I could understand you all crying if it was a 4 or 5 out of 10. Great review.

Re: IGN Review up

This is exactly the reason why I posted a thread about how EA needs to put out two versions of game, one for the virtual GM, and another for the gamers who are focused soley on playing the most realistic game possible. Lo and behold, they put out NFL Head Coach. They need to do the same thing with College Football for these fanatics who have a GREAT playing football game in their faces, yet they are worried about building some dumb a$$ Dynasty that means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. EA, to the surprise of many, including myself, have outdone themselves with the GRAPHICS and GAMEPLAY, and yet people are moaning and groaning about Dynasty mode? People are complaining about not being able to watch CPU vs CPU??? Are you kidding me? Are you even actually fans of football? When Texas played USC in the Rose Bowl, were you watching the game ON THE FIELD, or were you looking into the stands to see where the recruits were sitting, what kind of beer was being served, etc., etc. Come on.

To me, its like a guy saying he likes to play poker, brags about how good he is, then you find out he only plays against himself. He plays the role of the dealer, he sets up cardboard cutouts as his opponents, he serves the drinks, he runs the casino where the poker game is being played. And then, he gets ANGRY when the cardboard cuts outs don't actually play like real people..... EXACTLY. Ridiculous! You have a game where you can play competition and your worried about some damn Dynasty mode!

And another thing, whether you have an endless supply of opponents to play, or just one other person you can play against, EVERY game is different. So how people can get bored with a game is beyond me.

Sorry for the rant, just find the new generation gamer ridiculous.
