Commit?

I see this pop up on the screen sometimes and I have no idea why. I thought I read in a post that it's commit to run or pass (at least it seems that way) but how do I use it?

I think if you hit down on the Right thumbstick it is for Run and up is for Pass. I'm not sure on the details of it though. Sorry.

Does this also work on the 360 - I have not been able to get that message.

Using the right stick on defense. Up is commiting to the pass, and down is commiting to the run.

That would explain it. For a while I was trying to use the thumbstick to do my D-line moves.

D-line/Swim moves are the right and left bumpers.

So the commit only works when you're controlling a Defensive Lineman? If so that kind of sucks as I like to play as a linebacker. I was wondering why sometimes it wouldn't work...
