Tackling????

Whats up guys...

Im a madden guy that picked up NCAA this year since I got the 360. Gotta say, this plays a pretty damn good game of football.

Only issue I have is with human tackling....what is the best way to do it?

In madden, i would just hold turbo and run into the guy unless i had a clean look, then i would dive or hit stick. Probably about 80% i would just run inot them and the tackle animation would start.


In NCAA, im having a hard time getting the guy to start the animation, i just kinda run into the guy and bounce of or just mario run into him with no tackle animation.

Should I be hitting the hit stick or dive everytime??

I have gave up a few big plays do to this, and am not sure if this is a difference between the 2 titles.

any help or hint would be appreciated

I use dive or hit stick every time I go to tackle. Don't know if you have to in order to make the play, but thats the way I do it and I haven't had any of the problems you described.

I believe you need to. I've tried not using it and got the same results you did... tackle not being initiated.

u need to hold down R1 for strafe right before you tackle them, for a sure tackle
