A poll in regards to the disc read error some are having.

Just want to see if there is a trend here between DVD Rom type and DRE. I am also running this poll on another site so I'll combine/share the results.

Please determine which drive you have using the pictures below and then vote.

I personally have the Samsung and have had zero problems. There was a trend between drive type and problems on the original Xbox and since there are three 360 drive types available and about 30% of gamers are having problems.... Seems like there might be a trend again.

Hitachi, and the game fried my system. First time I tried it, it said dirty or damaged disc, or whatever that screen said. After that, when I clicked on "Play Game" on the main menu, it would say "Reading" for about a second, and then say "Open Tray".

Now, no other games work on my 360. Thankfully, I have two, so MS can take their sweet *** time with the repair. But you better believe it's gonna be free of charge.

Hitachi and no read errors. Buit I have severe slowdowns.

This junk is just like PC gaming, with compatibility issues, again. I bought a console to avoid this crud. Why can't Microsoft just have one blueprint that the DVD-rom manufacturers have to meet? I didn't know there were multiple drives again......

haven't had one single problem with my 360 since release on 11/22/05...fingers crossed.
