Athlete, meaning he doesnt have a defined position and you get to choose where to play him.

ya, i thought it meant athletic or sumthin... and if i can get him, he'll be good at most positions, or will he be average at most...

during the off-season when you set your depth chart you will have to choose his pos. the cpu will give his overall rating for each pos. and you can choose based on depth and rating.

Usually he'll be good or average at 2 or 3 positions, and he'll be pretty bad and the other ones. At the "Position Change" screen, you can change his position and see what his overall is at each one.
