Those stupid voters!

I want some advice to tell if this is realistic or not. I started ranked #7 as an Independent. Arizona State started at #15. I finished my season at 12-0, defeating 5 top 25 teams. Arizona State beat only #9 USC and finishes undefeated out of the Pac-10.

I am ranked #2 in both polls after Week 8, but drop to #3 in Week 13. Arizona State takes over the #2 spot. Despite beating #11 Penn State in the last week of the season, Arizona State takes the #2 spot in the BCS and loses to Ohio State in the National Championship Game.

I'm not griping about it, but I'd like to know what you guys think. I can't decide if the game just blew it or EA is mimicing real like.

Sounds about right. Arizona probably gets more love due to better conference, and potentially a tougher schedule.

I thought about the schedule, but wouldn't 5 wins vs Top 25 opponents outweigh the Pac-10 schedule?

What were you ranked at the beginning of the year? It seems that its a real uphill climb to get ranked high if you start out really low. Its almost like you need a good year just to earn respect and then have a good shot at the NC the next year.

In 2004, Utah was undefeated and finished 6th, behind 3 unbeaten teams and 2 teams with one loss. Not sure what logic EA uses, but this sometimes happens in real life.

So ASU ended up in the National Championship game. I don't see the problem here.
