Redshirting players?

Basically its a way of keeping a player on your team without using up a year of elidgibility. Say you recruit a freshman QB. You redshirt him. The next season he is a freshman again. Now you can use him in that redshirt year if you need to , but he will lose his redshirt status and that year will count against his elidgibility.

Basically you redshirt players you dont think your going to need. If you dont use them you get a 5th year.

Even if you don't RS a player before the year, if he doesn't play, the game automatically redshirts him when the year is completed. Just something to be aware of if you're trying to keep realistic classes as you move through your dynasty.

I have a realted question. I RSed a guy but then played him, so I got the warning message that his RS would be removed like I epxected. After the game it still shows him as a RS. Will this fix itself next year?
