The dirty disc error is driving me insane

I used to get quite a bit of DDE's but i soon started to shut down my 360 the correct way and i always took out NCAA before i shut it off, and i havent gotten any DDE's for the past week... Idk what i did but its just a tip...

I clear the HDD cache every 3 or 4 dynasty games. Haven't had a problem since. *knock on wood*

how do u do that?

^^^ Press Y when the HDD is selected and then press X, X, LB, RB X, X. Then you'll see "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?" Select yes, then it will say performing maintinence, and then it'll take you back to the memory screen. Simple as that.

I got a new disk, and I start my 360 by ejecting the drive. Since then I have had no DDEs and am in my 2nd season.

how do you clear the cache? I might try that, I try playing a game and get an unreadable disk error...I just figured it was because I have a circular scratch, didn't know it was this big of a problem???

damn still couldn't make it through the second quarter....I was Michigan vs Ohio State...just scored a touchdown to go ahead 14-7 and it froze.
