seriously, does nobody know the answer to this? I've been running play after play on practice mode just trying to get a look at one of these elusive tackles and still haven't seen one. Did EA take them out of the ps2 version?

Gang tackles were never in NCAA or Madden. Its something weve been clamoring for for the last few years

I believe there are a few 'canned' gang tackles in the PS2/XBOX iterations of Madden and NCAA, but if you are looking for something similar to ESPN 2K5's Maximum Tackle system, then no, that's never been in any of EA's games as far as I know.

I'm just referring to the Madden-style "combo" tackles that WERE in NCAA 06, now they seem to have removed them for no reason. I swear, EA took about 20 things out of the game that I liked from 06, and that's saying something, given the unpopularity of that version.

I think there were a couple of "canned" gang tackle animations last year but I don't think I've seen them this year. They put in all the new RB animations and they probably removed them. It sucks when a RB is in the middle of an animation with a defender and the other two defenders next to the RB will fall down because of the animation forcefield and this can lead to a big gain. Doesn't happen too often and it does happen for both sides but its still annoying.
