Idea for a new feature...

It seems like each year EA comes out with a new feature that is always controversial.

Well I was thinking that instead of some new "arcade" like gameplay feature that maybe enhancing dynasty mode a bit more might be in order.

What I was thinking is how about allowing the school to build a new stadium, etc to help attract recruits. Now this wouldn't really be something you would do with a team like Ohio State, or Notre Dame, but it could be useful for a team with an old stadium that maybe has had a little success but needs something to push them over the top.

I don't know, it sounded fun to me.

It would be nice to upgrade facilities when you build a program up but I'm not really interested in all the owner mode type of things Madden has. Setting ticket prices, hot dog prices, advertising, etc are all things I don't care much about. I love the recruiting aspects or other aspects directly related to improving your team but the owner mode stuff isn't very appealing.

Even if they automatically upgraded your stadium for you as you got better would be cool. If you became a perenially powerhouse, it kind of sucks playing in a stadium with only 30,000+ people.

I would like them to avoid new features all together. Just enhance the good stuff (most of which has been around since 2003). Add more commentary, more fight songs and crowd intelligence. Add season and playoffs for the 1AA teams. etc.

Most of the recent complaints have revolved around the Innovation and New Features:
Momentum, The Kicking mechanism and perfect CPU kickers, First person kick returns etc. It also seems that not too many people get into "Big Man on Campus" mode.

But then again, EA knows how to market. And it seems you need something flashy to get people's attention.
