2 star program.. what level recruit can I land?

I will likely be starting a dynasty with a 2 star program (UTEP, for instance), and am wondering what quality player I can realistically recruit and sign?

Do prestige stars relate to the quality of recruit that can be landed, or not necessarily? e.g. If I am a 2 star program, can I only pull in 2 star players?

Well I've been playing this game for at least 6 years and because I always do a dynasty with Kentucky. I always recruit one or two stars above my programs prestige level. This way as you make the team get better the players that you recruit get better.

start off by getting the guys interested in your program. Over the seasons, it'll rise.

I just jumped to Ole Miss and they are only a 1* program although I'm a 6* coach. You can get guys to sign during in-season recruiting but my first off-season I couldn't get anybody above 3* and not many 3* guys wanted to come either. I think I got 10 to commit but it was like pulling teeth and a few came from the same position.

Well UTEP might be different. Them being in Texas, you could land a substantial amount of ***... mostly ** however.

Yup. Your in a recruiting goldmine in Texas.

I'd probably bet you'd get a lot of 3 stars, maybe a 4 star if your lucky, but mainly 3's interested in you.

Do a lot of in-season recruiting. Mainly, reduce it to about 5 people, all 5 and 4 stars, put 20 in each. If you get them, it should help your program immensely.

I agree. Concentrating on only 5 or 6 prospects early on and then really focusing on 4 or 5 that you think you can get is important. Don't waste points on guys you aren't likely to get.
