honestly, it isnt a sure thing that cochrean will be the starter. aaron opelt put on some size but retained his speed and agility. if he can put it all together i think he will be a good one.

Why? Because I can effectively make an argument against a player that I dont feel is the best fit for a team? Okay.... Dang.. Ive lost bk's respect... I think I might go and shoot myself...

In other news...

Demarco Murray 4 carries 103 yards 1 td in the spring game.... Looks like he is gonna be the first choice at RB this season... Patrick really hurt his chances fumbling on the second play of the game.

Let everyone know when you have an effective argument.

Last year they shared the backfield with Kolby Smith. My best estimate is that Stripling will be the starter and Allen will share carries. Stripling would probably be rated around 85 overall. Anthony Allen is a very big, powerful runner and is very similar to Mike Bush. I'll be able to give some more solid information after I watch Louisville's first official scrimmage this Thursday night and things should really be sorted out by the time I attend the Spring Game on Friday, April 20th.

I would also guess that Brock Bolen would be listed as a fullback on this years game and he'd be rated 85+, too.
Stripling as an 85 is about right, he had the yards and Allen had the TD's I'll bet they are rated the same maybe 82 or 83.

DuRocher is out of football. The poor guy suffered a serious concussion in a game last year and they ran scans on his head. Found a huge tumor on his brain. They removed the tumor and he's healthy, but had to give up football. The concussion basically saved his life.

Wow, talk about a stroke of good luck there. Glad to hear he'll end up being okay.

What would you rate Locker as? How would you rank him among other PAC10 QBs?

USC JDB
Wazzu Alex Brink
Oregon Dennis Dixon
Cal Nate Longshore
Ariz Willie Tuitama
ASU Rudy Carpenter
UCLA Patrick Cowan or Ben Olson
UDub Locker
Oregon St Gunderson??
Stanford TC Ostrander

Here's my rankings of the B10 QBs

1. Mich Chad Henne (Top 10 QB in the country)
2. Purdue Curtis Painter (good stats, good system to pass in)
3. PSU Anthony Morelli (at least he's a returning starter)
4. Wisc Allen Everidge (entirely on potential)
5. IU Kellen Lewis (running threat)
6. Iowa Jake Christensen (dual threat, highly rated recruit, reputation)
7. Mich St Brian Hoyer (a good QB for Dantonio's system)
8. Illini Juice Williams (terrible QB rating, good skill set)
9. OSU Todd Boekman, Rob Schoenhoft, Antonio Henton (who knows here)
10. NWestern CJ Bacher/Matt Kafta (not sure who will start here)
11. Minnesota ????? (Does it matter when they run the ball 50 times per game?)

Ryan Gunderson is not an option at OSU. The battle is between Sean Canfield and Lyle Moevao. Last year in limited duty Canfield was 28-45 for 335 yards and 2 TD's and 2 INTS. He will be the starter if I were to guess.

Otherwise I would say that the PAC-10 QB's would go
JDB
Longshore
Tuitama (if healthy)
Brink
Dixon
Canfield
Locker
Cowan/Olsen
Carpenter
Ostrander

All joking aside, I think most intelligent (and unbiased) CFB fans realize that Bobby Reid is at least a above average QB, and EA will rate him as such.

I save a special place in my heart for Sooners, afterall they did rid East Lansing of the joke of a player named Keith Nichol. I can't express my thanks enough for that one.
In a way, you are both right. Bobby Reid is a very good college QB, as long as he plays to his strengths. Robinson is (IMHO) a better pure QB, not quite as fast, as mobile, or as in control as Reid, but a much better passer and just as capable of making plays to win a game.

In the Spring game, Robinson led his side to two scores in the final 77 seconds to win it, and had around 200 yards of total offense (and didn't take a snap in the 3rd qtr).

EA should rate them within a point of each other.
