I'm not saying that this game sucks, but after hearing the feature that they are showcasing...this is not what next generation gaming is all about.

Do we in fact know that Superstar mode wasn't well received? Just because you or I didn't care for it, it doesn't necessarily follow that no one did.

I don't recall a single M 07 review that had anything really bad to say about SS mode. Clearly, somebody liked it.

Says who? There's been a lot of complaining, but hardly ever about that mode. I remember seeing a few of the regulars here saying it brought an interesting new perspective to the game.

Is it the idea of a game mode focused on a single guy's career you don't like or the fact that you can only control that particular player? If you're going to have a mode where you focus on a single player then it sure makes sense that the user only control that particular player, not call plays, etc.

BTW this seems to be a growing trend too. MLB07 The Show also has a new career mode that focuses on one player only and it seems really well received.

a game that wasnt successful according to you? i think a few million people may disagree with you. How do you define success?

Well for starters I would define next gen success as the ability to at least be able to offer every feature that was available in the old generation in the new generation.
