Re: Recruiting looks great!

Some of the events you can schedule for recruit visits

talk to the professors
take campus tour
discuss coach record
dinner with coaches
discuss schedule
show highlight film
visit weight room
attend pep rally
discuss depth chart
talk to the players
take city tour
talk about program
visit trophy room
visit press box

Some of the promises:
solid playing time first year
conf champ first year
will make freshmen all american team
winning record against rivals first year
no redshirt first year
good national exposure
top 10 first 2 years
top 10 first year
won't recruit another player of same position first year
won't sign another player of same position first year
game in home state
national championship

hopefully some of those promises will be scaled down for weaker teams

Re: Recruiting looks great!

WOW! I am speechless.....and somewhat intimidated. Thats almost too much depth! I usually have time to play one game a night (if that) with ncaa 07's simple recruiting system (where you just assign a # of points to your short list of recruits)....now, it looks like I might be playing one game on one night and just recruiting on the next night .

I hope to God they changed this. A ****/***** JUCO should come in as a high 80s player, not a high 70s/low 80s.
Larry Grant was one of the highest ranked Juco's last year and definitely didn't play like a high 80's player for the Buckeyes last year - he probably is a high 80's now that he's had that one year of experience but he certainly wasn't coming in.

OMG GUESS WHAT?! Brent Schaefer also sucked!! JUCO recruits should all be rated low! And because Lorenzo Booker, Fred Davis, and Kyle Wright sucked, every #1 player at their position should be rated a 65 overall!

Yes, you have figured out there are busts in college football. But the fact remains that Hargrave and high level JUCO players are there because they're stupid, not because they can't ball. The average JUCO kid is just like a HS prospect except with 2-3 years of better physical conditioning and coaching. Most are picked to fill immediate needs and at least play a role their first year. And thus, they should be rated higher.
