If there is a trail man with the sweep guy in real life he might make it over, but in this game he might get caught in the traffic and if he does all you need is one guy to seal the perimeter and you can close the curtain.
i know, it's miserable to deal with. I'm anxious to see what coordinator is gonna come up with a scheme to stop the new style, in real life that is. It's really tough to stop in the video game too.

Re: New Formations!

i wasn't referring to you, i was asking the gentleman that thinks that only 2 teams run that style of play. glad to see people watch the real thing though, and not just play the game. Night folks.

Who runs it exclusively?

Aside from Arkansas' Wildcat and Florida's Tebow, who runs the single wing offense? OSU did it that one bowl game with Ginn, but that's about it. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out some Sun Belt or WAC team ran it, but it's not a popular formation.

There are not many athletes out there today that you can put behind center and rely on them to both run and pass effectively. It's either run or pass. An OC or HC is not gonna go to this except in situations. Very rarely does a player come around that can do both. Especially with the speed of defenses today!

How many NC's have been won in the last 20 years with very mobile QB's? QB's that have run for 1000 yds and passed for 2000 yds?
I can think of one...

All offenses can be stopped. For this one, you have to control your DE and contain with him to start with.

A lot. Texas in 2005, Nebraska in 94, 95, and 97, FSU in 93, Colorado in 1990,
Notre Dame in 1988, and Oklahoma in 1985. Krenzel at OSU is debatable.

Your attempt to praise Tejas has failed.
