That's actually huge for me because thats how I contain the QB, I almost always have 1 LB spy. I also use these hot routes to zone blitz by dropping a DE back into coverage and bringing a LB on the blitz. I only control the DT and let the other players just play, it seems more sim like to me.

Not sure if there are covers, but I thought I read ESPN took over SI and I think the covers were the only thing SI had in the game.

I could be wrong. Sorry, that didn't help much.

Yeah ESPN took over. It has like the ESPN.com deal. It kind of looks like what you go to on espn.com. Sort of similar to that in a way.

I think we're talking about two different things. Defensive hot routes are confirmed for next gen this year, so all of the things you describe will be possible. What he was asking about was defensive smart routes, which is a new feature for cg this year. It allows adjusting of defender's zone assignments so that they defend the 1st down line.

Here are a couple more differences:

Create a team & custom playbooks are in current gen but not next gen, at least not last year.
