Sony sent out Playstation Edge toolkits in January to developers so they can better understand the architecture. A lot of games coming out now and before were developed mostly before then, hence a lot of rough ports.

It can't be as bad as the framerate issue with College Hoops 2K7 on PS3 can it? Althought it's probably my favorite sports game to date, the framerate slowdown on that game is craptastic. Here's hoping I don't have to experience something similar with this game.

The sooner people come to grips with this, the better off they will be....

XB360 has an installed base of several MILLION more than PS3 in the North American market (where 90%+ of all copies of NCAA, Madden, APF2k8, etc.) will be sold.

For our tree-hugging, altruistic, "damn-the-man" friends who believe that corporations exist for some purpose OTHER than making money - get over it. EA is out to make money and their sharehodlers expect them to make as much as humanly possible. Since ultimately the shareholders decide if the upper management stays employeed (or at the very least decides how much to pay them each year) the upper management types do not give a rat's *** which console is "better", they only care which one has the most SALES POTENTIAL (as determined by installed base).

XB360 games will always run slightly better than their PS3 counterparts - and for the foreseeable future, they will also continue to look better as well. It would surprise me if that situation changed at all during this entire console generation. Last-gen people were SCREAMING for EA to develop the game on XB and port to PS2...never happened though....

PS3 has a lot of positives and a lot of unrealized potential, but even now, nearing 9 months post-launch, that 'potential' is still unrealized.

I do like 360 better tho, lol. I just hate the fact they released a console without a friggin hard drive and developers have to design games with that in mind.
