I don't know. California's CIF SS has 16 divisions, plus 2 8-man divisions. Then you had in the other 9 sections, I'm not sure how many divisions they all have. But I know LA and San Diego have there own sections. So you could win CIF LA section and not have to leave the city.

State championship site rotates. This past year it was at the alamadome. 4a state championship games are on friday and 5a on saturday. The top four teams in each district make the playoffs. The two with the highest enrollment of the four go to the division 1 bracket and the other two go to division 2. There is division 1 and 2 for each classification (1-5). Thus there are about 10 state champions.

Also, I wonder if becoming a legend means different things at each school? It should be easier to become a legend a smaller, less prestigious school than at a perennial powerhouse.
