So to recap the situation, as of this moment:

1. there is no demo for the PS3
2. they didn't have the PS3 version at either Community Day
3. no one seems to have any real information (movies/screens/etc) of the PS3 version

To top it all off, they don't release the game early nationwide to stores other than the major chains in an effort to prevent it from being released by "Mom and Pop" stores who break street date at will. For anyone with a brain in their head who can step back and look at the situation objectively, it's fairly obvious why this is: EA knows the game is substandard and is trying to hide it like the sister of the wife on Pet Cemetary.

Think about it, EA is a very smart company and has many intelligent advertising specialists in their employ. They know that if any of the hardcore gamers play the PS3 version early their release day sales will suffer. Just as a really good movie spreads via word of mouth and attracts more viewers to theaters, accidental release of the game would have an opposite effect on their sales. So what do they do? They hold back the game until the last possible day, thus guaranteeing their release day sales quota.
I disagree. I like how you left out all the reasoning part of my post in your quote. You have not addressed any of the arguments I made, just stated that "anyone with half a brain would see it your way". Your interpretation is no more or less valid than mine we both have an interpretation that is possible given the known facts and circumstances. You could be right, I could be right, or reality might be something completely different.

Thanks for implying I have less than half a brain. That'll teach me to try and damper doomsday theorists with rational potential explanations for why we haven't seen anything yet.

Re: PS3 Demo?

I wonder if Sony doesn't want those who are riding the fence between buying the 360 version or the PS3 version to see the game?

1- The 360 install base is much larger than the PS3's
2- It's been said by EA themselves that the PS3 is only 30 FPS so it makes sense to show off the better lloking/smoother version.

In last gen, you had one system with the larger install base while the other had the better looking versions. Hence they would release videos from both.

The fact that the PS3 version shipped a week later than others may also indicate they had to work on it a bit longer to iron a few quirks. They may have spent too much time trying to get it to 60 FPS and had to make adjustments to ensure a smooth 30 instead. Overall, I definitely expect the PS3 version to be slightly inferior but I will be surprised if there's some catastrophic problem with it.
Everybody should agree with this guy.

The people stating that the ps3 version will be disasterous are really going out on a limb.

I remember the xbox version getting a lot more media coverage on the last gen games over ps2. Ps2 always played better, though.

My apologies. I copied and pasted that text from something I wrote on another forum to explain my viewpoint. I didn't truly "reply" to your post, per se, nor did I intend to imply that you have less than a full human brain.

Re: PS3 Demo?

Seriously people. We already know that the PS3 version is worse than the 360 version with the fps,so why would they show PS3 vids? The 360 is the system it's getting ported to the PS3 from,so naturally the vids will be from the 360. And the shipping is later for some places because they took longer to finish the PS3 version, and its just most likely a little behind in production,so they made sure they got what they had out to their major retailers.

Re: PS3 Demo?

The Playstation Store was updated yesterday with all the trailers and videos from E3. But this may be the 2nd week in a row that they don't do their usual Thursday update. The videos are amazing and everything but I want an NCAA 08 demo!!!
