Again there is a workaround. IMO its much ado about nothing and its causing panic amongst the community when there doesnt have to be.

I registered my copy of NCAA 07 and I remember filling out an EA survey a year ago. I'm sure one of the questions was "are you willing to pay a small fee for named players". Did anyone else fill out this survey? (just so people know I'm not pulling this out of thin air)

With alternate jerseys and classic stadiums going that way of "pay to play", I just wouldn't be suprised. I one who just won't pay.

Comments...
That wont happen unless the NCAA agrees to it (which wont happen) and if they do I think most people here would be willing to pay 2 bucks for named rosters.

True, there is a workaround this year. But I was thinking about future installments.

I was just curious about what other people here thought. I don't want to contribute to mass sports gaming panic.

same boat as this man...im a grown *ss man, i don't have time for this...so what the workaround works for 08, what about 09, 10, 11? etc. like i said earlier, if this is all true them im done w/ video games...look at my sig...those are literally the only games i play and have ever owned since about 2000...Hoops and NBA 2K, the GTA games, Madden and NCAA...4/5 i use download rosters for all the time...since I was a kid i couldn't stand having inaccurate rosters on say NBA Live 95, or Madden 94...too busy, too lazy, and just too grown, to have to do my own roster work each year from here on out...I did the xbox community rosters for 07, doing about 5 conferences and i never wanna do that again. it IS hard work. time consuming. etc. etc. So for me, a guy who was only going to buy a next gen system just for the 5 titles i play, its not worth it if 4 of those 5 are gonna be worthless to me.

I forgot to mention the NCAA. They are a money making entity also. But that brings up the age old debate of paying college athletes (which is another topic).

I just would not be suprised.

I hear you. I just dont think everyone should hit the panic button. I agree in a way. If the workaround doesnt work or if I have to do something cumbersome just to get rosters next year or any year in the future, my 360 will go on Ebay the next day. I'm just saying that right now isnt the time to panic.

Athletes would sue if that ever happened. Its the same reason why you cant buy jerseys with athletes names on the back.
