how many fumbles and turnovers are averaged per team?

I would like to know.

fumbles, interceptions, fumbles recovered, fumbles lost per game, per team. I want to know what the average is in both these categories.

I am going to do alittle digging on ESPN.com really quick

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/foo...RNVR_LOST.html

37 -24 about 30 TO average a year

Don't know how accurate these are but most ints last year was 24

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/foo...FMBL_LOST.html
about 23 and lower here.

now lets say you lost 12 fumbles in a year. something tells me you are going to have fumbled more than 12 times and a realistic number is around 20 fumble give or take a few a year.

ints are pretty cut and dry and 24 seems like its time for a new coach or QB as the case may be.

turnover margin is really where you should worry I would say. +6 or +8 seems about average in the top 50 or so teams. And as i saw some teams had 6.1k yards passing (i think hawaii) and navy had 4.2k yards rushing but after the next team WVU it was a huge drop off.

I hope this might help someone with the turnover problem shed some light on actual game stats

Nice info, thanks. Makes me think there should be a sticky for similar stuff - e.g. average plays per game, average running plays v. passing plays per game, average sacks allowed per game, etc.

Regardless, I have always been able to get TO to a realistic level with sliders. Increasing CPU RB ability and decreasing HUM tackling drastically cuts down on fumbles and increasing CPU QB ACC while decreasing HUM Awareness and INT cuts down on too many Ints. But it was disturbing nonetheless how many turnovers you got on 07 with so slider adjustments.

In the game you can effectively curtail fumbles and int.'s on your part and strangely it seems the less you turn it over the less the computer turns it over. Also, you can call it catch up logic or play smart logic but, if you get a sizeable lead you better play conservative football because the computer gets a boost and if you shouldn't be passing at the end of games when you're leading or blowing someone out watch fumbles and picks happen.

Fumbles you're looking at 7-12 per year.

Auburn for example, the last 4 years has had 20 turnovers twice, 18 once, and 21 once, and we're a conservative team. If you pass a lot, you're looking at 25-30.

even if you lost 7-12 fumbles how many times did you actually fumble including the ones you retained?

i dont see any stats that keep up with just fumbles not fumbles recovered and lost.

just posting some stats to back up what happens in game.
