Perfect option pitch will ruin game

Like others in this thread, I don't see it as a problem at all. I've had good pitches. I've had bad ones. I've had ones bounce off of a defensive player, I've had'em hit my HB in the back and fall to the ground, etc.

In my opinion, this thread is nothing but a Chicken Little type of thread. There is no problem with the way this game handles the option.

I bounced a pitch to the RB once. It was perfect one hopper and very entertaining.

To clarify, its not that the pitch cant be stopped. It is just thats its always perfectly on target to hit the rb in the chest. IF there happens to be a defender or or O-Lineman in the way then it will result in a fumble.

Unrealistic, for sure. But by no means a game killer

Honestly check out his videos guys. There is absolutely no way even the biggest fan boy can defend those.

I watched the videos and those were some crazy pitches, for sure. Now with that said, the way to defend the option is "assignment football". Someone has to take the pitch man every single play. (usually the defender who is responsible for flat coverage) So even if there is a magical crazy pitch, whoever is designated for the pitch man needs to tackle the pitch man when he reads option.

I havent played 08 yet, but hopefully the CPU players carry out their option assignments.

Yeah I have been fumbling pitches all weekend... I guess its like some people say they arent seeing any penalties and I am seeing a ton.. but thats another subject..
