I don't think WR's comeback to the ball more in real life though. The DB is always making a play on the ball and watching it (supposed to anyway) whereas the WR is focused on running a clean route and expecting the ball to be there. That's just my view on it anyway, not necessarily saying you are wrong.

I agree with you. I play receiver for a semi-pro football team and if I'm expected to run my route, the QB is expected to get the ball there. There is no way I can break my stride, running a streak and get to the ball at the same time as a safety, if the ball is thrown 10 yards behind me.

So in response to the TC, FICTION!!!

The people who are complaining are the same people who like to throw the ball into double/triple coverage and let his WR bail him out.

Re: Fact or Fiction: EA improved DB AI by decreasing WR AI

First I don't have the game yet but I will say this....the WR in most all EA games acted immortal to begin with. I mean they can practically stop on a dime under full sprint and come back or slide 5yrds to the right in like a split second and thow there hands up in the air not looking at the ball and doing a "USER CATCH" in double coverage no-less.

So I will say this if your post is FACT that is a great thing.
If it is FICTION its still a good thing b/c the DB AI is at least improved to keep up with the WR.

On a side note people need to realize the WR always has the advantage due to the fact that they know where they are going and the DB doesn't. So it would be nice to see some good catches due to a solid route run rather that some crazy animation to catch it in double coverage.

FICTION. I have the full game and I think the DB AI is very realistic. In real-life DBs always break on the ball faster than WRs because they have no expectation on where the ball will be thrown to.

I guess some people will never be happy. The same people who complain about receiver AI are probably the same people who have always complained about DB AI.

Just TWO YEARS AGO we had a lobfest on our hands, because the DB's wouldn't react to the deep ball at all.
