Running Backs

do you guys use the turbo trigger alot when running with your backs. EYE for one used to, but I notice I can see the holes alot better when I don't use it. I also heard that when you use it, it makes the other teams defense faster. Is that true?

Re: Running Backs

I try not to hit the turbo until I get through the hole and have a little day light. Not sure if it makes the cpu team defense faster, but it seems like it.

Re: Running Backs

cool! thanks, so i guess i can go back to it. But it does seem more effective when I don't use it. I'll continue to do both.

Re: Running Backs

I normally don't hold it all the time. I wait and find the hole in the line and then get on it or wait til open field. I just am able to make the better decision and make it payoff by not mashing down the turbo button all the time.

Re: Running Backs

The TURBO button turning the D into 11 tasmanian devils is something that was discovered back in the PS2 days. If you lay off the turbo until you are through the hole, they tend to stay open as they should. If you see a hole and hold sprint in an attempt to run through it, it typically closes MUCH faster than if you had merely run through and then hit the gas.

Its hard to remember sometimes, but lay off the sprint until you at least pass the LOS (unless your in a foot race on a sweep or something similar). This also helps in pulling off better jukes and spins etc....they are more effective if your not sprinting.

Re: Running Backs

Thats the way to go. Even sweeps work better setting yourself up behind your pulling guard or FB rather than just trying to blow for the corner. It's just so tempting to try to race to "the bend".
