I just go an elite, and NCAA at the same time. I am expeariencing a lot of lag in this game. Especially when moving scenes on field, and when the HUD comes up, or when the drive info pops up. Also getting lag when I exit a certain recruits info back to the recruiting board.

I am currently playing the 360 in non-HDTV mode. I have it hooked up to my 19" CRT, and have it set on standard def. I will be getting an HDTV shortly.

I am wondering if this lag is part of the game, or if it has to do with the 720p down conversion and transmission to my 480p set? Another possibility I think it could be is a bad DVD drive

. any ideas? thanks

Check to see if your disc is seriously scratched up too though.

also check and make sure the 360 has good airflow around it. having it sit horizontal seem to be best and if you have a way to elevate it also helps.
i would say you could do the system maintain tool but if you just got it and only have NCAA, that wouldn't do anything.

I have it sitting horizontal, with nothing around it. I think it has pretty good airflow.

I noticed that on the disc, there is a very faint ring, about 1.5 inches in diameter, around the central hole of the game disc. is this normal? should the disk have any sort of segmentation to it?

I am starting to really think it may be the xbox itself.

has anyone else experienced ANY lag when in this game?

I get lag all the time when overlays pop up, when in the depth chart, and in various other non-gameplay sections such as recruiting. I think it is pretty standard.

only time during the game i get any type of lag in near the end of game when it trys to take those auto pictures.

the slowness in the menus are not that bad to me.

I don't think it's your 360 or the disc, that's just the way the game is. I get all kinds of lag and delays and NCAA is the only game where I've seen it.
Try playing a different game and see if you still get lag, that way you'll know for sure.
