Re: # of plays in a game?

I think in 2006 it was around 120-130 plays due to the new clock rules.

In 2007 it will probably be 135-140 plays.

NCAA sim engine usually produces 115-125 plays a game. I try to match my games with the sim engine to produce an even playing field in terms of plays for comparative stats purposes.

How many min quarters do you play to "match" the sim-engine? Do you let the clock run or do you "rush " the plays? Just curious. Every season I have ever played in ncaa games I am always #1 in rush defense and # 100 something in my passing offense, no matter who I play with, just due to # of plays per game.

Me too. I also have greating rushing offense and defense but a terrible pass offense, and a mediocre pass defense. Maybe its because i'm a run first guy and thats how I recruit, but it happens year in and year out.

Re: # of plays in a game?

Next year I hope they fix sim plays. All the other stats are done really well unlike Madden. Does anyone know if its b/c they change the rule tback this year in college and they forgot to fix it this year. The only way to tell is to sim a season of Ncaa 06 or before.

Re: # of plays in a game?

I play on 8 minute quarters and take my time calling plays and usually end up with 115-125 plays per game. Like another poster said, this is about the average for the other teams in the dynasty. Also, since video games tend to yield a ton more big plays than in real life, 130-140 plays may be just a tad too much.
