Re: Ok, time to start my REAL dynasty, who do I choose?

Ok, I've decided for certain now.

I've taken over as the Head Coach of the SMU Mustangs.

I'm gonna give Playmaker's AA sliders a whirl and go with those for my dynasty.

8 minute quarters.

The deciding factor...

Baylor is a 2 star program.

SMU is a 1 star...so I am going for the ultimate..to take 1 star SMU and turn them into the Old School 6 star "Pony Express" from back in the day.

And I'm going to do it without getting the Death Penalty.

I'll start a thread in the Dynasty Forum to keep folks updated on how my Mustangs are doing.

Off I go to start the dynasty.

Gonna play until it gets dark..then start my Bio Shock gaming to get the "full effect".

I'm in a similar predicament. I'm thinkin San Diego State (one of my favorite schools), but they aren't 2 star, which hurts. Great unis though, and an NFL stadium. Idaho is in the running only because I like playing in the snow, and EA for some reason gave them an outdoor stadium (they play in a dome).

I was looking at them earlier too. The only thing is I think they are fairly loaded with some pretty highly rated players so it might not take long to build them up? So who do you try to knock out of the PAC 10 ... Wash. St, Ariz St, Stanford???

Nice thing about SMU is they have a decent (new) stadium so your not stuck developing some doormat with a 15,000 capacity D3 feeling stadium, and clearly Texas is LOADED with recruits.

For a realistic goal attempt to bring them back to their glory years of the eighties when they had Eric Dickerson & Craig James (aka, Pony Express), and earn a spot into the Big 12 (natural/geographical fit). try to bump Baylor out of the Big 12 South, they never win anything anyway???
C-USA ain't that lowly.

Yeah, but a lot of their higher rated players are seniors (I think). I think the 2 star rating is too low (they've been really good for two or three years now). And it would probably have to be Stanford or ASU leaving - I live in Washington, so I don't want to throw WSU out. I wish they would make it so conferences could add you without dropping someone else. It's not really outlandish that the Pac-10 adds two teams (from Boise, Fresno, SDSU, or Hawaii) or the Big 10 adds one (I think they're just waiting for Notre Dame to finally want to join) so that they can have Conference Championship Games. I think I'd be cool if the game made a Pac-12 in dynasty and gave it North and South divisions.
