I'm going into season 3 and having a blast. My UNC team is pretty thin at most positions so this might be my season to make some noise.

This is a far better game than Madden, but every time I try to jump back in I'm struck with the dirty disk thing. I don't have much time to play so going through 3 quarters and having to start over kills it. I think this will end my next gen football experience. Back to 2k5 if I feel the need for football. Worst case, Halo 3, NHL, and NBA 2k8, and college hoops 2k8 are coming so I think I can stay busy.

you gotta take the disc out when you're done playing and start your 360 without the disc in when you go to play the next time.

This is one of the best tips I've read on the net. I used to get DDE's all the time with NCAA 07 and random ones with CH 2k7. I started doing this and they stopped completely...until I got the red lights of death.

I have an Elite now and haven't had a single problem.

I do the same thing. I always load up my profile (Gamertag) then put the disc in an select "Close Tray". No problems in a least one year. (fingers crossed)
