Defensive Heisman Hopefuls?

In your Dynasty.... Has anyone seen a defensive player from any position in the running for the Heismann trophy?

I have only seen QB's, WR's, and HB's...

In my old miami dynasty I had a corner that also played slot and returned kicks. He had something like 10 TD's, 5 picks, and over 1,000 total yds. This was all as a freshman

I'm in year 2 about week 3 of my Michigan Dynasty and I have Brandon Harrison at the bottom of the list. He has several picks for Td's. I also have exclusively playing defense.

Thanks for the info. I was beginning to think that the game would not consider defensive players as heisman candidates. Glad to see it does.

yeh i saw a couple DB's who were also returners up there

It's gonna be really rare. There has, after all, been just one defensive player to win the heisman, and he played some offense and a lot of special teams to win it. There's only been one WR too, and he too had to play a lot of special teams. Qb's and Rb's are normally the only ones seriously considered.

the only way a defensive player can be a heisman hopeful is if he scores alot of touchdowns some type of way.
either returning kicks and punts, or playing on offense also.

The only time I ever saw a defensive player sniff the Heisman was when my brother got 55 sacks with Daryl Blackstock in NCAA 2004. That said, he won it with those ridiculous numbers.
