Well, Miami used to be in the Big East as well. Boston College doesn't really make sense to be in the ACC either, but BC is on the Atlantic coast and USF is in the East, so there you go! Sure, The Big East is more of a Northeast conference and the ACC is more of a mid-Atlantic and Southeast conference, but it's not set in stone.

After 4 years at MTSU, I accepted the Rutgers job. After the first season at Rutgers, I was invited to replace Duke in the ACC. I did and have been there for 5 seasons now. 360, by the way.
