I diagree. Imo, Oregon with Dixon, and certainly when they still had Jeremiah Johnson, Paysinger and Colvin was the best team in the country last year. No one was going to beat them in the regular season down the stretch. I think they were much better than merely solid.

Im just saying that if that was to happen would you think those were weak conference losses.
These are games that OSU should win and wins that should be guaranteed for USC.
I think if either of these 2 teams lose a game in conference it will be a dissapointment.

Ok, so what exactly are you asking?

If they lost to Wisconsin, I wouldn't classify it as a loss to a weak conference team. Wisconsin has been pretty good.

I don't know how MSU fits in to this equation, Oregon St and Oregon have both been signifcantly better than MSU.

Oregon last year was a Top 5 team. I don't know how you could classify that as a guaranteed win for USC. Especially considering who missed that game for USC.

Disappointing loss? Yes. Conference loss to a weak team? Not even close.

Yeah because some Big Ten programs protect their teams.
e.g Wiconsin, Michigan and Michigan State

Michigan did just complete a home and home with Oregon this past year. Of course they lost both those games.

OSU and Oregon are not elite programs. Both have played in a BCS bowl but when USC lost to them Im sure you believed that USC should have run them out of the building like they have in the past. Dont forget, that was the same Oregon team from 06 that USC beat down in L.A.

When USC was winning NC's they dominated those teams and the rest of the PAC-10 so in terms they were weak teams. The gap in talent at USC to Oregon State/Oregon is a lot wider then Ohio State to Michigan State/Wisconsin. USC gets all of the top talent on the west coast and across the nation. Oregon State and Oregon dont do so as well. OSU gets 80% of their star players just from Ohio. While they are always talented, I dont think they ever really have the talent that USC has, but they play better defense year in and year out and thats why they stay atop the rankings. USC does it more with superior offense and really good defense.
