I've been playing the hell out of NCAA 08 all weekend against other OS Legends members and had some GREAT games on 7 min quarters.

23-20, 17-10, etc.

Online Dynasty, Uploadable Music/Stadium sounds, Improved AI, No more turnover bug....

I've got da fever!!!

I'm definitely hoping MGS and more of GTA will help pass the time. I've been playing 08 in anticipation.

Re: I am truly optimistic about NCAA and Madden this year.

I am bummed that for the first year in a long time, there won't be a version for the Xbox1. Not only that, i wonder how different the PS2 version really will be. I will probably still by the PS2 version just to see what they do, but a lot of people, all they have is the original xbox1, and don't have the money to buy a 360 and will not be able to play NCAA Football this year. I think it's sad that the best version of the game for me, on last-gen will not be supported on the Xbox1 this year. All the money that people spent years ago on the Xbox1, a more reliable console than the 360, is not supported by the mighty EA.

I am sure the 360 and PS3 versions will be exciting. And I may buy the 360 version to see how the next-gen is coming together. I used to have the same excited feeling around this time every year about to pick up NCAA and see how my team is. And name all the players. I used to do it religiously. But with the bugs seen on the PS2 / Xbox1 version of NCAA and the lack of management details of the next-gen versions, I just don't trust EA anymore to make a well rounded game.

I even picked up the new Euro 2008 for PS2, made by EA, looking for a good soccer game. So I popped it in and wanted to play a long game. I got into options. The longest half length you can play is 10 minutes. 10 minutes! So your longest game is 20 minutes long. Why can't I play a 90 minute match?

The sad thing is, the game is actually decent. The animations look convincing enough on the PS2. I mean there are definitely signs that the game was ported from the PS3 with low textures. There are shadowing issues, the crowds don't look even close to as good as the old fifa games on PS2 used to look. It's like they just put out a half assed product just to make money.

I mean honestly, NCAA Football 06 for PS2 / Xbox1 is the pinnacle of football gaming for me. The game is so well done. Well rounded, great teams, great gameplay. Referees on the field doing things that actual referees do in a game. Sure the graphics aren't as realistic and deep as the next-gen player models are. Sure the stadiums don't look lifelike, but they are convincing enough. These were games, not tech demos. This game had an insanely deep substitution system. The only thing I missed about this game that NCAA 07 and 08 had was analog kicking. And the fact that you could block FG some times on the Xbox1 version of 08. There is the old timing based kick meter on NCAA 06. I liked the 07 and 08 analog kicking. But besides that, 06 is superior. The CPU FG Accuracy slider actually works. They actually miss field goals from time to time.

Anyway, I'll get the PS2 version first. See if they changed anything from the NCAA 08 Xbox1 version with grainier graphics than the Xbox1 version of NCAA 08 had.

I'd like to get the Wii version but I wanna check the reviews before I get that. I hope it's cool.

Are you on 360? Because it said your friends list was full.

Yup, I'm on 360.

Solidice and I played (Texas Tech vs Auburn). 7 min quarters, AA.

In a very defensive ball game, Auburn eeks out the win 10-6 after Graham Harrell is intercepted at the Auburn 32 yard line.

Great game!
